Event Pass vs. Event App

Event Pass is the event page you can open in a browser. It shows event info, schedule, vendors, hype tools, and your status.

Event App is the installable PWA. It gives you a phone-home-screen version of the event so the pass is easier to find on event day.

How guests register

Before the event, guests can register by entering their name and email. That saves their event registration and connects it to their Event Pass.

If a guest creates an account or signs in through the Event App wizard, that also counts as event registration. On event day, check-in can also create the event record when name, email, age, and ZIP code are collected.

Registering is the step before check-in. Check-in means the guest has arrived or used the event-day check-in flow.

What to do before you arrive

1. Register for the event with your name and email.
2. Install the Event App if you want quick access from your phone.
3. Review the schedule and event info.
4. Look through vendors and sponsors so you know who you want to visit.
5. Use the hype tools to invite people and build your score.

What happens when you arrive

Use the official event check-in QR code at the event. If you are signed in or already registered, the system connects your check-in to your Event Pass.

If you are not signed in, the event may collect your name, email, age, and ZIP code so your registration and check-in can still be recorded consistently.

After check-in, event-day sections and live tools may become available depending on how the event is configured.

How hype works

The Hype Room gives you invite links and sharing tools. When people use your invite and register or check in, your hype score can increase.

If you accept a hype invite, that invite can be remembered so the inviter still gets credit if you register later through the normal registration page.

How vendor pages work for guests

Vendor pages are available before the event so you can see who will be there, what they offer, and make plans before you arrive.

On event day, vendor check-ins, vendor bingo, or scavenger-style activity may unlock depending on how the event is set up.

Schedule, info, and updates

The schedule page shows event timing and activities when the event organizer has added them. Info pages explain the event, location, instructions, and other useful details.

If something changes, refresh the Event Pass or reopen the Event App so you see the newest version.

If something does not work

• I cannot find my pass. Open the Event Pass link again, or install the Event App for easier access.
• I registered but do not see the right status. Refresh the page. If you used a different email, register again with the correct email or check in at the event.
• I am on iPhone and scanning is weird. Use the Camera app to scan official event QR codes. Safari usually opens the correct event page.
• I am a vendor. Use the Vendor Help page to find your setup email, resend your invite, or unlock vendor prep.
